Dear all:

I love my new Mavic 3 classic, but the vids it produces are such gigantic files that I can't do anything with them.  What is the simplest way to compress video files on windows PC so they can be uploaded to FB, Instagram, etc.?  I'd prefer to avoid having to become an expert at the complex world of video editing.  Thanks in advance

Run the files through handbrake to add compression.  Its free from http://handbrake.fr

Didn't know Handbrake can do that too, thanks for the tip I was wondering the same thing at one point but with the Pocket 2. Good to know for further reference

Handbrake does a great job at that or swapping between resolutions etc.    I use it all the time, but If Im upscaling then I will use compressor or FCPX.

I was once advised to use it for changing the FPS, and it worked well for that. Maybe I ought to take some time to get to know the program better and see more about all of its properties.

I would just shoot in 1080p in H264 and the file size wouldn't be too large. If you want to shoot in 4k, just compress the file in a video editor like Davinchi Resolve

Even 1080p sizes direct from the drone are much much bigger than if they have had compression applied.
