You know that is no longer a leak? DJI has sent out e-mails announcing it.

for sure, especially since most (not all) of the big accessories are compatible between the mavic 3 and mavic 3 pro.

They popped a new camera on the Mavic 3. I think  that's all the upgrade you'll see.

Who here thinks this will finally bring DJI to release the SDK for the Mavic 3 line? Or will this Pro model be the only one that gets an SDK released? Leaving the Mavic 3, Cine and Classic stuck without it. I personally see DJI going that route honestly. I have no evidence to back that up but I'm just guessing that off of what I've seen out of the company lately.  Once reviews come out and people realize it's the same exact drone with only an extra camera that'll rarely get used... DJI knows people will make the upgrade just for the fact that it has SDK support.

what i noticed is that there is no listed combo with rc-n1, the cheapest rc option
and no drone only option
so you have to buy it with a rc or a rc pro
i hope this is not the final listing

Why do you think it will rarely get used? If it is a camera with a focal length of around 60-70mm equiv., I see plenty of situations where it will come to good use. The gap between the wideangle and the tele in the Mavic 3 is often too large.
And hopefully it will have a reasonably large sensor. A 1-inch will be fantastic, but I am afraid it will be smaller. Perhaps a 1/1.3 like the one in Mini 3 Pro.

Why would it matter?

Why would I require 2 RC Pro's? That's why it would matter.

It probably will have a 1’ sensor auxiliary camera and that will probably be the difference, maybe some extra features you’ll never need or use. Probably 90% of people bought M3 because of 4/3 sensor or maybe 95% so this new drone is not likely to improve on that sensor. So just depends if you want some extra frills and spend a load of money to get them .

They should be offering craft alone first , because its their present customers they need to look after first.

Think back to 2016/2017 when phones started to have multiple rear facing cameras. Having an extra lens was actually pretty cool. Then soon it became 3 and 4 cameras on the back, each time one was gained it lost the "wow" value. With the Mavic you'll mainly be using the 4/3" sensor if you're wanting the best looking image. Especially in low light or dynamic scenes.  I'm not complaining about having a third camera and that wasn't the point of my comment. I mainly just meant that I think DJI will release the SDK for this drone exclusively. They need more to market this "Pro" drone when it comes to the spec sheet. An extra camera isn't enough to market this towards "Pros". With an SDK they can force these Mavic 3 owners who have been begging for it to upgrade when they normally wouldn't see a need to.

The title of the thread was enticing. I was expecting at least a diesel version of the M3.

Would be fun if that that third camera was a 14x optical or a thermal, but it's just a 3x optical instead, such a pity.

I am hoping for some improved OA sensors and hopefully an enhanced version of APAS.  And of course the SDK, but no idea on that one.

Either way, I think it is time for a fresh drone.  : )

It is not a zoom lens. It seems it is a lens with equiv. 70mm fixed focal length, with aperture f/2.8

Of course, is optical 3x, digital to 7x then the exact same thing as the M3 until x28

It just fills the gap between the two previous lenses. If that 3rd camera had been a 14x optical or a thermal instead, I would definitely change it for my current M3.

But 3x is "meh" as this little sensors don't compare with the main sensor in terms of quality, so they are more like utility sensors during flight rather than usable ones for photography/videography.

The sensor behind the short tele lens is most likely the same as in the Mini 3 Pro, a 1/1.3 inch sensor  that has proven its quality. The results with a 70mm equiv. lens remains to be seen, but it has potential for images of high quality. Certainly more than "utility sensor during flight".
Even the small 1/2 inch sensor in the 160mm tele camera can give surprisingly good results when used properly. On the Mavicpilots forum there are several examples that show the quality you can get from the telephoto lens.

All those x's are confusing, but if you mean that the telephoto lens in the Mavic 3 Pro is the same as in the Mavic 3, the rumours tell another story.
If we shall believe the rumours it has a slightly shorter focal length, and almost a full stop wider aperture. That is important!
If this is true, it is a new lens construction than the one in the Mavic 3.
