I wanted to do some photography/video at Neuschwanstein Castle for an educational project I am working on.  Neuschwanstein is at about 950m above sea level, so is the altitude for flying based on sea level or take-off altitude?  I am confused about this aspect of the Geo Zones.

Well, I found on the website for the castle that it is not permitted… yet I see so many videos of drones flying over and around it.

“Neuschwanstein Castle is on the edge of the Ammergebirge nature reserve; it is therefore not permitted to fly model planes or drones /multicopters.”

Yet there is one restriction on the zone. I am guessing drone pilots take off from and area not near the castle.

si la Zona Geo te da el blockeo tienes que irte a la parte donde te muestra el tipo de vuelo es esta caso dirá despegue no permitido, aprestas donde te sale ese mensaje y te da la opción de volar bajo tus propios riesgos y bajo tu responsabilidad, aceptas y te da un código para que lo puedas introducir en la aplicación y se te da un permiso para poder volar en la zona, cabe mencionar que si es un lugar totalmente blockeado por que no hay señal no lo podras resolver

An extension to this query... if I take off from a cliff that's 150 m above sea level (ASL) and get to an altitude of 100 m above the cliff and then fly over the cliff edge over so that my actual altitude is now 250 m ASL, if RTH is set to 100 m, will drone ascend to 250 m before it hits the cliff edge ?   I have max. alt setting and RTH set to 100 m.
