Due to rain, I could not film before going to work, so I paid the site a visit after work.
No operational digger unfortunately.
And I noticed it went slow today, but they did change the pavement tiles for big stelcon plates.

Here the gimbal of Mini2 got stuck and I had to fly back and move it by hand. Probably some sand or something.

And the final one.
No creative shots this time, as it started to rain again.

Yeah, M2 got wet, but luckily no problems.
I hope the video footage will be good too, since I did some low level flying around the area.
I'm considering waiting until they are done, but that might take a year, so I'm not sure.

Yeah,  not doubt that is a long term project.    Good to know no issues with the Mini 2 after getting wet.

Yeah, I really wanted to get some more shots before bringing it back, but there was still 40% battery when I landed, so that was much sooner than I usually do.

I make sure the drone lands back in my hand with no less than 25% remaining.  Load in a new battery and then back off again.  Works great on long outings as I have 5 plus batteries and one standard battery for the Mini 3 Pro and 5 batteries for the Air 2S.  The problem is getting them all charged and hoping the weather forecast was correct.

I usually go down to 5%.
Gives me a couple of minutes more per flight.

I used to do that with the original Mini but it seems it negatively effected the life of the batteries by running it down so low.

I think all we can do is try to take care of the batteries the best we can and hope for the best.  I did receive a plus battery for the Mini 3 Pro that was dead on arrival.  It must have slipped through the QA process some how.  Sent it back and the replacement was fine.

At least DJI was very quick about replacing the defective new battery.  I've received great customer service from them on several occasions.

The only issues I've had was that they use UPS and they are notorious for being slow and inept at times.  Of course that is not DJI's fault.

I had two bad batteries, and 2 hardware issues over the 7 DJI drones I've had.  So not bad at all.

So far though my Skydio drones have out performed as no hardware issues whatsoever.  Just wish they had a little bit better cameras on them.  DJI leads in cameras but Skydio leads in autonomous flying.

I just made a nice flight to document some of that demo process again.
It's going slowly due to the sorting of material.
But I suspect it will be gone by the end of next week.

I was just checking out those shots.  Lots of details in them and does show how he is methodically separating all the parts.  Great job of documenting the status of this demo project.

I'm super glad I'm retired as there is so much craziness going on in the work places today.  Not only do you have to be politically correct but also extremely cautious.  It seems we live in a more litigious society nowadays.
