Hi all,
I purchased a Sunnylife Gimbal Camera Guard for the DJI Avata, and unfortunately, it doesn't live up to one of the advertised features, well, not entirely.
This gimbal camera guard style claims not to show up in the video. This may be true in Normal mode, however, it will show up in sports mode.
There are other styles available on Amazon and other internet sites. I'm thinking of getting one similar to the RC Style Gimbal Bumper (see below).
I would like to get feedback from anyone who uses a gimbal camera guard.
Stupid things...
If you will look at camera, is already inside frame, but people like to get the drone heavier without a sense...Just to believe will survive an impact at 80km/h....surprize...will not, you can put any guard you like. ))))
In the event of a crash all of these most probably rip the screws out of the upper frame & GPS mount. The upper frame is sturdy enough, no need for aditional parts.
4/6/24 I just got the StartRC Gimbal Guard - big disappointment - it shows up HORRIBLY in the video and camera views -- obstructs both sides, so that together, about 1/4 of the field of view is obstructed. Does not matter if you are in 4:3 or 16:9, or normal/wide/ultrawide views. What a let down. I'm still searching for a product that will NOT show in the camera view.
Also, with this one attached, as expected, you cannot fit it into a good case, like my Skyreat Avata case.
