A perfect morning to send the Mini3Pro for a closer look at the new weathervane on a local church spire.Obstacle avoidance warnings beeping away, I managed to get the drone in really close for this shot.

Couldnt they have cleaned it first?

I rather think they will have done. Not sure if it's all brand-new but it's certainly been restored.

Maybe better to be a bit "too far" than to take the risk crashing.

Amazing close-up shot Mr. B.    No doubt OA was letting you know you were a bit close.  Nice effort with great results.

I have no doubt the beeping was incessant.  A couple of times I've switched to Sport's mode to get rid of the beeping but then again that is taking a chance when flying in proximity to tight spaces.

I thought of doing that, then discarded the idea.  I could put up with the beeping for a couple of minutes.

Probably safer than disabling OA when you are flying that close to something.

Huh?  Your videos always seem to demonstrate smooth flying techniques.  Unless you are editing out parts where you handling skills may be lacking you have nothing to worry about.

Oh, I didn't realize you binned that much.  I guess I was pegging you as somewhat of a perfectionist.  I don't mean that in a negative way either.

Good to know.  I tend to enjoy flying the drones a bit more than the photo side of it.  Yeah, I know, it's a shame.  Maybe when I finally decide on which underwater drone I want to get I will get more into the photo side of it.

Problem is I've been researching now for 3 months and just can't find the right one.  In talking with several current owners none seem to be 100% satisfied with their underwater drones so I've tried to keep on looking.

Qysea (Fi Fish V6), Power Vision (Power Ray), and Chasing Innovation (Gladius Mini) seem to be the market leaders.  I'm leaning more toward the Qysea.

I wish it was but no the Qysea is made in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China.

Seems spare parts are readily available from a dealer on the west coast so that is a plus.  Seems my best use will be in some of the local lakes that are fed by fresh water aquifers and on a couple of sunken ship sites that usually have clear visibility.  Still waffling so maybe I'll just flip a coin.

No doubt, hence why I might just as well flip a coin.    Will probably go ahead with buying the Qysea underwater drone.
