Here I do some tests with the new firmware.

Pity that even just taking the external audio input down couldn’t be implemented. -12dB still isn’t enough for some mics.

Seems more like a release for small refinements.

From a first glance, sharpening seems to be reduced a bit. I think I saw less halos on the branches...
But I have no comparision as I did not upgrade until now.

Like I said in the video, I think this is just a minor update before they will release something bigger next time.

A small update in between to take the pressure off the DevTeam would make sense. An important bug has been fixed for sure. Unfortunately, it is not entirely clear what else they did.

Do you still have both Cameras? If you update only one, you could compare the changes in picture tuning (if any).   Sharpening (or its reduction) is the most interesting aspect here. I would really apreciate your estimation.

I could do such a test, but the results wouldn't be meaningful because I messed around with the focus. Or how do you see that?

I don't think, that should be a problem. It is not about sharpness, but (over-)sharpening by in-camera image processing - up to the point where halos or flickering are produced in fine structures.
But only if it is not too much hassle - and if you are interested in that, too.  ;)

I've never been afraid to put in a lot of effort... I usually go into so much detail that I have to be stopped

Sorry I must have Missed the Importance of this Firmware,    did it fix the DJI Osmo Action 3, will I wake up and my camera magically be fixed (WINK)   will watch to see if it fixed yours.

I strongly doubt it. Because this version appeared a month and a half ago, they just tested it for a very long time before giving it to us.

The Webcam video does indeed appear to be improved.  Might help with those who are adjusting camera focus!  Just saying!

I have now also made my first test of the new firmware, and only updated one camera to be able to see better what has changed. It seems to be more than what I saw while filming. This video is not perfectly suitable for this (because 25FPS) but pay special attention to the image stabilization (jittering, ghosting) I will examine it more closely..

Good test you did there.
You are the first that have compared it to the old firmware.

I'm still not sure about the stabilization, could be some jittering.
