I just got my Mavic 3 less than a year, and consider to replace with Mavic 3 Pro. I have 4 batteries, but I don't know whether they can be used for Mavic 3 Pro.


In addition, whether DJI RC Pro can be used for Mavic 3 pro? Any new firmware need to be updated?

this has been asked many times and we believe it will eventually happen but apparently not right away.  there are already a bunch of mavic 3 skus and it appears they had to axe the mavic 3 standard just so there wouldnt be so many models and much confusion.

my vote in the poll is to buy now even with the remote since i don't believe it increases the price that much.  maybe only 100 - 300.  if you wait for a drone only and it's 150 less than the price of a drone+remote, why wait for that?  extra rc is good for backup or you can sell it, they seem to move pretty good when discounted.  the extra rc is attractive because it can fly other drones besides the m3 so it's widely desired.  what happens if dji brings back the 2-controller pilot/novice feature, then you wish you had one!

anyway, i believe you cannot have too many discounted batteries so a drone body without either the battery or the remote might also be a stretch (ie everyone can probably use extra batteries).  i understand upgraders are looking for the least amount of pain but in the meantime it will have to be shared between dji/flyer on this one, at least in the beginning.  lucky for us, nearly everything is compatible so it's not as painful as it could be.  that's my opinion, i took a little bit of a hit, par for the course.

Yeah, no way I'm shelling out for a complete kit again, sell drone only and you'll immediately get many, many sales

All mavice 3, aka the OG mavic 3, mavic 3 classic, mavic 3 cine, mavic 3 thermal, mavic 3 enterprise, mavic 3 pro, mavic 3 pro cine, they all used the same body, so of course the battery will work on all model. The only difference is the camera between each model.

I vote for drone only. Why pay more to get an extra remote if you already got one to pair with. We could save the $280-300. The mavic 3 classic drone only save you $280 so i don't see why dji can't do the same with the mavic 3 pro. If dji won't release the mavic 3 drone only,  I will just keep flying my mini 2 forever lmao
