Any reason for the upgrade?  I have the 5dmk4 and really dont feel the need to upgrade it yet.   And the fact that only the R3 I believe has the built in GPS is a bit of a disadvatage to me.

Firstly because the writing is on the wall for DSLRs. But if I sell my Canon D5 Mark iv and Mark iii cameras now I can still get a decent price for them, in fact I should get almost enough from selling both to cover the price of the R5 mirrorless.
Secondly, it's a lot lighter, so less tiring on the arms when shooting for a few hours.
And thirdly, it makes little noise. At one of the storytelling events I photograph, one of the performers asked me not to photograph her because the sound of the big DSLR is distracting.

Amazing.  Have you tried the silent shooting mode to make the camera not make that mechanical sound.

I made a great mistake the other day,  I enabled on camera lens correction.  then wondered why I had to wait 15 seconds between shots.   Took me ages to twig what setting I made to do that.

When I bought my huge 600mm lens, it refused to autofocus. Finally realised I was hold it by the part that need to rotate
