Hello, I was wondering If I could get a recommendation for a tablet to use with the DJI phantom 3. I just want to know what the tablet with the biggest screen and the lowest price that can be used in the DJI phantom controller is! after all that is probably all it will be used for, and unless I am missing something, I don't believe running the app will be to taxing on the hardware, but if I am missing something, don't be afraid to tell me! Thank you.

Apple iPad Air 2 64GB Cellular... It just the best, at this time, that money can buy. ;-)

Probably the most pricey solution. But it works great.

Not required but you get GPS.  You don't have to buy a plan.   With Wifi only you don't get GPS.

Ipad air 2 is the best in my opinion.   It works perfectly with silky smooth video.   Nice large screen also that fits like a glove in the device holder.   The only thing I would recommend if you get one is to order a inspire 1 device holder to replace the one that comes with the phantom3.  It will help with the weight of the Air 2 and feel much more stable because its metal instead of plastic.

If you get the iPad with cellular it does. It works great with mine.

Unfortunately  our search function does not work that well.

I have tried a few. for me it was important to have enough memory, processor speed, g3/g4, wifi, maximum size screen that could fit into the device holder and then the most important is to see the screen in bright sunlight. The Samsung galaxy tab S2 9.7 won everything else by a nose. and as a bonus, because it is android OS, you can fly with the Litchi app.

Yes, you are correct.
You will only require a cell account, if interested in Streaming Live Video, from your drone up to YouTube.

Yes.  That is how I use mine.  Cell version but don't have a plan.
