I'm playing with my new Ronin RS 3 Pro using a Canon R5.  I usually have it set up for "back button focus" where the shutter button does not focus before the photo is taken.  It appears as if with the Ronin, holding down the shutter button on the Ronin itself (not in the app) will take a photo (if the camera is in photo mode) but it appears to always focus at the same time.  Is there a way (easily) to prevent this?

I saw something about leaving the lens in AF mode but turning it off in the camera but I didn't understand how to do that.  I am not aware of a setting in the camera to turn off auto focus completely.

I have a Raveneye but, as I said, I just got this and so I haven't tried connecting it up yet.
