Just got the Avata a week ago and today I noticed that in 40mhz, I only have 1 channel. Upon researching this, CE mode only has one channgel in 40mhz. I'm in the US. How do I get this to FCC mode? I have synced with the app, gps in clear sky, everything connected and still no go.

Hi there. Thank you for reaching out. Can you please take a screenshot or a picture of the Channel mode settings under Transmission settings on your DJI Goggles? Please note that when the DJI Avata image transmission frequency is in automatic mode, DJI Avata can automatically switch between 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz when receiving signals during flight. The transmission signal only uses 5.8 GHz, which cannot be used in some countries that restrict 5.8 GHz. In Manual mode, the default frequency is 5.8G, which cannot be switched. Please keep us posted. Thank you.

Sorry, I know this is an old post, but can I ask if you were able to fix this problem?  I'm in Australia (also FCC)  and have recently purchased an Avata which has the one 40 mhz channel, and low transmission power - similar to what pilots in CE countries experience.

Hi. It should switch depending on what country you are located in. Will it be fine if you show us a photo of your Channel mode under Transmission settings? Thank you.

Hi there.  Thanks for responding.

An update re my issue:  The repair center here in Melbourne could not find any problem with my Avata, but to their credit, gave me a new one anyway.  The new drone works perfectly!  My first Avata gave me a 'country code not updated' error message, and although this went away after I reinstalled all the firmware, I suspect it was responsible for the low transmission power.

As to the number of channels showing under 5.8 GHZ in manual mode, the first drone only had one, my new (perfectly working) drone only has one, and the in-house drone at the repair center also only had one.  Could it be that the number of channels displayed is dependent on goggle-type (I have the v2) or country location?  Clearly, at least in my own experience, the presence of only one channel does not indicate 'CE mode'.

I'm glad you got a replacement. The DJI Fly App and the country and region will be determined according to the GPS of the mobile device and the network operator, and then switch between FCC, CE, and SRRC per local laws and regulations. When the bandwidth is set to 40 MHz, only CH1 (one channel) is available. Have a nice day.
