God Save the King.....

Well in towns all across the UK,  this is how people celebrated the coronation.   With road closures and street parties.   


It seemed historic to capture one.

Driving about on Sunday we noticed quite a few road closures for them.     My own road was closed a few times for these parties,   theres even a shot of my house from the VJ Day street party during ww2.

Good to see such patriotism.  Sad about having to close roads but what else can you do when you need to room for large parties.

The road closures have all been minor residential areas so they dont cause any issues,   and street parties go back to at least WW1 historically here,  probably further.
