Normally it happens around the football world cups but the coronation seemed to bring out the same in some people

Since the lockdowns with C19 it seems that large, boisterous crowds are the new thing.  It was reported that there were record numbers tailgating before NFL games last year.

Im still avoiding busy places,   and certainly keeping 10 miles away from crowds like that.

Probably a really good plan.  I notice that some of the YT influencers have no problems flying really nearby people and over small crowds but I try to avoid that to remain on the safe and legal side.  There is already enough negative publicity for drones and I don't want to add to that.

I always try and fly by stealth,  theres no point drawing attention to ones self.

Sounds like the best plan, see things with the drone but don't been seen as the pilot.

Sadly it goes against our CAA rules for drone pilots,  but that is one Im willing to break,   as well as the dont fly more than one drone at a time rule or ride a bike at the same time.

Wait, so you are saying you have to be visible to the public while flying your drone?  If so, that is exposing you to the Karens of the world.  So here you can legally have a drone active track you but you must have the controller mounted on the bike and not being hand held while in motion.

Yes.  its rule 22.

This means people will know who’s responsible for your drone or model aircraft.

Indeed, that is the case.  Not sure if you heard about the pilot in Nevada that got accosted by a disgruntled resident with a baseball bat. He thought the pilot was spying on him and his illegal MJ plants.

No, thats not a piece of news that reached us here.      Curious though as I did spot an aluminium base ball bat floating in the creek in January.

Hmmm, hope it didn't have any blood stains on it.  Some gangs in NY used aluminum bats when retaliating against rival gangs encroaching on their turf.  Guess they were cheaper than buying guns and bullets and a whole lot quieter.

The salt water would have washed that away,   funny though the following day I thought I should rescue it but it had gone so someone else had that idea.

Floated away is also an option as that is how it got to that location to start with I assume.  

I don't think that's even the craziest thing about these national celebrations. For instance, when Finland won the World Ice Hockey Championship title in 1995, many people went for a swim in city fountains with their clothes on or sometimes practically naked.

As for coronation celebrations, a YouTuber called Ashens has published a video where he talks about the cheap tat released in order to get money from people celebrating  that. His style about handling these videos with cheap trash is pretty funny, I think.
