Interesting lapse DA.    All that work to get it into the water.  Guess that is why I keep mine in the water.  

See, the quick shoots would work here perfectly, The Video is too still. Thats my opinion, Go another day and make the commet, you will see the difference

That was 15 minutes of footage squeezed down to 60 seconds.    It one of the nicer systems Ive seen around here,  each boat gets its only trolley whereas they usually take them out and use wood to stabilise them and only have one trolley for getting them in and out.

No doubt that was an efficient system.  With the amount of boats in that yard I'd say they have to be super efficient.

They seem to be putting two or three back on with each high tide.     I did a TikTok for the launching video,  I trimmed it down to 28 seconds and its already over 1700 views

Really nice video and I'm sure the number of views will climb steadily.  That is a really nice marina and I love the double launch ramps.

They seem quite proud of that slip as they are always out there washing it when the tide is out.

Sounds like a very good marina staff.  Also makes it aesthetically pleasing to customers.  Besides, you don't want to get algae growth started as that stuff can be very slippery to walk on.

The lad that does it has a huge firehose and he seems to really enjoy himself.

Dang, that's a lot of pressure but then again it gets the job done so much quicker.  Nice that he enjoys doing the wash down.

Don't make a special trip but if you happen to be flying over that way and catch him in action I'm sure that would be really cool to see.

Yes,  depending on which direction I do it in, I either start there or end there.

So that makes it nice then.  You can change up your route but still have a common start/end location that you like.

There are lots of variations I do,   mostly due to time and the mud.  some of the routes in the winter are so miserable with the mud it's not worth taking them.

Well at least you have the capability of varying the routes and that is always a good thing.  Definitely no fun having to walk through the mud though.

Im quite lucky,  even though Im close to London I can walk in 3 out of 4 directions and find open landscapes.

Then you are truly lucky.  With all the residential and commercial development going on here open fields will be a thing of the past.  Which is why I'm never going to sell any of my acreage.

Plenty of that here too,   there is a thing here called green belt which the planners aim to use to maintain land around towns so that urban sprawl doesn't just join all the towns together.

We have something similar here.  However, developers have been able to get waivers and encroach on the green belts so they continue to get smaller.  You know what they say.....money talks.

To be fair the same happens here,    it's slowly being chipped away,   but at least its slowing the progress.

Slowing the progress is good but not quite as good as stopping all waivers.  However, I have no doubt that will never happen.

You always know here when there is some company trying to develop land like that as posters and protests appear by the site within days if them finding out about it

Here they have to post a Proposed Re-Zoning sign at the location for 30 days.  Then a decision is made by the Planning Board.  Plenty of time for money to sneak under the table to get a favorable ruling.

We have the same,  bright yellow signs go up with details of the plans and how to make comments etc.

Bright yellow sounds much better than the dull dark orange they use here.  Some of the lettering is so small you can't read it when you drive by so you'd actually have to stop to read the entire sign.

They are small letters attached to posts here,   no chance to drive by and read them.

I think they are made that way on purpose as it meets the requirement to have the sign posted for the 30 day requirement and not that anybody can or does read it.  Developers hope that they get no negative public comment to the planning boards that way.
