Thats DP World port,   it was built a few years back and is now being extended,    I must go over there and get a better shot of the cranes for you.

Indeed,  an hour later that rain had reached us and it stayed most of the night,   But I can cope with rain at night.

If it is being expanded it must be getting quite a bit of containers passing through it.  Could make for some interesting shots, provided it's not a No Fly zone.

Yes it stayed most of the night,   Last night the sun was shine and it was lovely,   the forecast no rain for 10 days,  so I got up extra early and 5:45am as I was heading out the heavens opened.  I hd three walks planned for today and at least two flight locations

It's not a NFZ, its just a pain to get close to that one,  the other port at felixstowe is right next to a beach.

Man, if it wasn't for bad luck you'd have no luck at all when it comes to weather forecasts.  That had to be frustrating, especially with all those plans made.

Its out on a bit of an island with what was a land fill site to one side of it.   And of course coming in from the other side is not so good as the place is massive.

We've had 5 showers since that forecast,  luckily yesterday after walking with SHMBOd the rain only started after we had got back in the car.    But the walk was well worth it,  well if youve seen the IG reel you'll know that.

I am getting rather fed up with the forecasts,  yesterday we had a nice walk along the canal and on the way back the bright sun turned to gale force wind and a few spots of rain,   luckily we got back to the car before the heavens opened.   But that put my planned fight off the schedule.

You'd do better with a crystal ball than looking at the weather "forecast".

I see you must have synced your flights as you are well over 75.5 million feet flown now.

If only that would work,    that said it was bright and clear this morning.    Although the tide was out and nothing Wass going on which was a shame,   I may try and get back for high tide later.
