They were all stopped yesterday as someone jumped off the bridge at the next station.

(Announcer over a loud speaker) "Their coming down the home stretch,  its going to be close, But Polly locomotive wins by a nose."
  Sorry i could not resist    That is a great shot DA   Are you guys allowed to fly over train yards in the UK?   where i live in Tennessee we have to have authorization to fly over or around trains infrastructure. like stations and train yards, cargo ports etc. we can pass over a train if our location we are heading to requires it..  but not fly a long over or with them. I was just wondering how it is there in the UK

Yes as long as the drone is under 250g you can fly over pretty much anywhere (prisons etc excluded)

Yesterday they were all stopped again,  I sent the drone up for a look and there were loading up cherry pickers with train tracks,   one of the crew noticed the drone and started to wave.

Yes,   he didnt seem bothered by it at all.    I walked past shortly after hoping to find out what they were doing and they had all gone.

Thats how I used to do my work day,  luckily for many years I was able to start early as most of the "customers" were in Europe and I could easily start at 6am.  Which meant I was home by 2:30pm.  So I got a lot of other stuff for me done.   The last contract I worked on was a mix of USA and Indians and that wasnt so good.

When I was working contracts in the Navy with vendors in Europe I had the opposite schedule.  At the start of their work day it was 3 AM here.  So I worked many weird hours over that 3 year tour.  However, I also made a lot of interesting contacts that I got to meet in person years later.

Ive had a few jobs with China based customers that required 2am starts to give presentations.  Luckily I could do those from home.

At least you were able to do them from home.  Still that is middle of your night and never optimum time to give a presentation.  That is one of those you have to do what has to be done regardless of the time to meet overseas customers needs.

Yep,  just one to suck up and try and look good doing it as it was all on camera.

Better you than me.  I've heard some horror stories about trials that were basically held virtually.  I'm not sure I could do that.  I need to watch the body language of the person testifying and also see that of the jury to see how they react to the person's answers.

Ouch,  yes I could see that would be tricky,   but some video conferencing systems allow you to see multiple people at the same time.

I saw a news story few weeks about that,  and I was fascinated to know that there are consultants out there that specialise in working out what would be a good jury for a case and they go and see how jury in other cases for the same person react.   Sure is big business being in law in America these days it seems.
