Is there a difference between the 7x camera on the Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Pro?

Yes.
The tele camera in the Mavic 3 has a lens with aperture  f/4.4 and focal length equivalent to 162mm.
The tele camera in the Mavic 3 Pro has a lens with aperture f/3.4 and focal length equivalent to 166mm.
The sensor is the same tiny 1/2 inch in both.
And DJI claims the camera in the Mavic  3 Pro gives higher resolution images.

Its the same resolution. 12mp sensor on both same 1/2" the only difference is the aperture which is f3.4, a little better in lower light conditions. Lower light not low light. And the video resolution is up to 4k60fps instead of 50fps of the original Mavic 3

DJI officially says the new camera has a new and better lens, thus giving higher resolution (sharper, more detail).
Number of pixels and pixel size is the same, but that is another kind of resolution.
A common definition of resolution is the camera's ability to distinguish between closely spaced elements of detail.
This is affected both by the lens and the sensor. So if DJI has improved the lens as they say, with better glass and/or a new design, they may have increased the resolution even if the sensor is the same.

The shots I've got from this lens are very much clearer and sharper than the previous lens.
DJI have done a really good job with it.
I'm amazed at how good it is.
For the size of the sensor, the results are exceptional.

Hi there. Thank you for bringing this inquiry to us. Are you referring to the telephoto camera of the DJI Mavic 3 Pro and DJI Mavic 3 drone? If yes, the two cameras are different. The Mavic 3 Pro telephoto camera has a 1/2 inch CMOS sensor with an aperture of f3.4 and 7x optical zoom. It can take 12MP photos and 4K 60fps videos. The equivalent focal length is 166 mm and the camera can shoot from 3 m to infinity. When in Explore mode, the camera can zoom at 28x. Hope this helps. Have a nice day ahead.

Even though DJI marketing says this, it's completely wrong.
None of the cameras on the Mavic 3 pro have any optical zoom.
None at all.
There is no optical zoom.
You'd think a manufacturer of high quality aerial cameras would understand the meaning of the word zoom, but DJI doesn't.

Thank you for your response, Labroides. DJI Mavic 3 Pro is equipped with three cameras, capable of switching freely between different focal lengths to adapt to the shooting composition of various scenes, including the Hasselblad camera with a 24mm format equivalent, a 70mm medium tele camera, and a 166mm tele camera. The tri-camera imaging system supports up to 28x Hybrid Zoom. Hope this helps. Thank you for your valued support.

No, it doesn't.
I'm well aware of everything that you cut and pasted..
I have a Mavic 3 pro and 40 years photographic experience.

I'm also aware that  DJI misleadingly advertise the Mavic 3 pro as having  three cameras with optical zoom, even though none of the cameras on the Mavic 3 pro have any optical zoom.
You'd think that the maker of the best aerial cameras would know what zoom means, but it seems that DJI doesn't.
