Has anyone flown a drone in Cuba?  May travel there next year and just wondering if anyone
else has or should I leave it at home.

What exemption are you traveling under or are you going through another country first?
Curious how Americans go to Cuba. Many fly here and then go down. Still not legal but not likely to get caught either.  Suck if the plane had to land in the US though ;-)

No longer.  The US and Cuba are normalizing relationship.....slowly and are now allowing travel.  We're going to do a rare (for us) tour to learn more before we travel there on our own.  Both have opened embassies as of last week in the other's country.

I know all that. The thing is, travel for plain old tourism was still not allowed on the treasury website when I just looked.  Travellers still had to qualify under one of the 12 sections but dont need an actual permit. Not sure about a visa.

Are gou going on a tour operated by an authorized operator? If so, that is a different deal. I meant booking your own holiday.

Guess you gotta go and have a look;-) I have been there very many times. Beautiful beaches excellent cigars and very nice people. I go at least a couple times a year.

You are lucky ! I on the other hand had enough to buy a phantom and then drive to my vacation location if i had the money, maybe if i get to win the lottery ill be able to manage to visit some distant places, meanwhile i do by exploring whats in my reach, not everyone is equal and everyone should be content with what god gave them.

For sure. Everyone should be happy with what they have. You should try to go there Sometime if it becomes possible.

We are going on a tour.  Hopefully we'll get to go back and visit on our own.  Looking forward to it.  Everyone should travel outside their comfort zone.  Glad to see you enjoyed it.  Hopefully they'll allow quadcopter eventually.

If anyone wondering about 'drone in Cuba'. I've just came back from my vacation.
Drone was confiscated on the border and stay with them until my flight back.
