Hi, Lyman. Thanks for reaching out. The DJI Mini 3 Pro's operating temperature is between -10° to 40° C (14° to 104° F). This means that the drone will be flying normally within this range. In an extremely low-temperature environment (for example, the room temperature is -20 °C ), the battery's temperature will decrease instead of rising after warming up, resulting in the battery capacity reduction and short battery life. To ensure the performance of the battery, keep its temperature above 20°C.
Here are some Winter Usage Recommendations you can check:
1. Before takeoff:
1) Charging:
Please fully charge your battery before use to ensure that it is in a high-voltage state.
If a battery that is not fully charged is used, the battery’s initial voltage will be low. In addition, low temperatures will continue to decrease the battery voltage and increase the under-voltage risk.
2) Warm-up:
Place the battery in a room temperature environment and allow it to fully warm up to above 20°C (You can check the battery temperature using the DJI GO/DJI GO 4 app).
If possible, put the battery in your car and turn on the heater to warm up it during outdoor operation.
3) Battery visual inspection:
Check the battery appearance for damage, misshape, etc.
Check the battery port’s metal sheet for damage, burning, etc.
Check the battery charging cable for looseness, and check whether the battery can be inserted and removed smoothly.
2. After takeoff:
1) Have the aircraft hover for about one minute to allow the battery to fully warm up from the internal heat.
Notes: The Mavic 2 Enterprise series and Matrice 200 series aircraft come with a self-heating function. After takeoff, please let the aircraft hover and wait until the self-heating is completed. Then, begin the flight after the app displays a related prompt.
2) Gently push the stick. Avoid pushing it with great force.
3) In a low-temperature environment, voltage drops very quickly. Please keep an eye on the battery level and shorten the flight time.
4) It is recommended to have your aircraft return early and avoid returning at a low battery level.
We hope this helps. Have a nice day! |
