Looking for expert advice from LP12 Speaker/Spotlight combo users. I read somewhere that in ZOOM mode, going past 5X will turn on the night vision capability. I tried it last night and was surprised to see what appeared to be the glare of an IR illuminator ? See pic.

Am I correct? Can't find any info on this in the tiny mini manual that came with the LP12.

Heyy. The light you see is not from the LP12. at the pic you can see the measuring  laser.

i understand is not from the LP12, what is it?
Is it an IR illuminator? Which sensor is it coming from?

It is the LRF (laser rangefinder). On options tab from the camera, on laser module you have two options n de and and enhaced mode.
Factory default is enhaced mode, which means the laser rangefinder will not be fully off
If you want to fully off the LRF, select the on demand mode

Alright, so the laser rangefinder is always on, even if the icon shows it to be off?
