The instruction here is not to put the rubbish out before 7am.   And then what time they come is variable.

We had a letter telling us that our bin day was to be changed from Monday, to Friday. Ever since then they've turned up on Thursdays.

Interesting capture DA.    I don't think they could have squeezed anymore trucks into that location.  Seems like they would have to have somebody directing traffic to get them out in some particular order.  That could be quite chaotic otherwise.

Sometime I will look and see what happens for that,   Im not usually going that way in the morning,  I had a change of route as I was short of time.

It can be interesting to see what you find when you change your route.  Never know what you might come upon.

Now things have dried out a bit theres a lot of opportunities for change and some better hill walking,    during the winter I must confess I stick to the flat paths.


I did a little seed bombing of runner bean seeds that I should have checked on today,   see if they have taken or were just all eaten,   but I really didnt feel up to it.

That reminds me of a neighbor lady about 6 years back that was attempting to establish and plant a home garden.  She prepped the soil and then put out seeds.  Before she could cover them she had a call letting her know to come to the school and pick up her kid who had gotten sick.  By the time she got home and back out to the garden the birds had already swarmed in and eaten most all of the seeds.  She sowed new seeds that weekend and her garden turned out quite nice and very productive.

The birds can be a real pain in many ways.   They even peck the leaves.   I’ve used old cds hanging up to scare them in the past.  But I’m sure they still get used to them.

No doubt the birds can adapt so we have to keep coming up with things that work as others no longer work.  Using old CDs is pretty innovative though.

Ive seen a few boats hanging them off the masts recently to keep them away,  I might have to give it another go.

It is definitely worth giving it another try.  I did order one of the owl kites so I'll let you know how that works out.

Normally, where I live we usually have a slight breeze off the water so it should be enough to keep it airborne.

Sounds good.   Im going to try the CD trick later,  I have some old blanks in the loft that will never get used so I will string a few up and see what happens.

Got it.  This thing looks pretty well made.  Way too windy to put it up today so I'll give it a whirl in the morning.

Yep sounds like a Council.
We are Sat 10-1300 & Mon 08-1000. Others day I guess we just don't generate trash.
Oh yeah and it's a hopper so we take the rubbish to it.
