More wild campers......

Heading back this morning and I spotted another wild camper,  although this one didnt wake up from the drone sounds.

Nice find and lovely shots DA.    Don't think I'd camp that close to the railroad tracks if I wanted to get any sleep.

I was thinking along those same lines.

How in the world could you sleep with trains passing by....unless there were none all night.

Apparently, over time, the brain learns to ignore them and you don't awaken.

When I was stationed on an aircraft carrier I never got used to all the catapult and arresting gear noise associated with every night launch and recovery.  My state room was only 1 deck down below the flight deck.

Noise levels on aircraft carriers measured in auditory recovery locations such as gym, berthing, and mess areas during 12–13-hour flight operation periods have ranged from 70 to 101 dBA.  You don't even want to know how loud it is on the flight deck.

Mandatory, but have you ever tried to sleep with them in or on?    Not the most comfortable way to try and sleep but better than not protecting your ears from those high decibels.

Strange thing is the first few days back from a long deployment and you are away from the ship it is almost too quiet to sleep.    Kind of weird what you can get used to.

Cheers.     I think a few down days are required thats all.

Not exactly the spot I'd favor for a sleep, as the others have pointed out. Other than the railroad, it does look relatively cozy.
