It’s gone overcast here and looks like it should rain even though the forecast is still none for 10 days.

Yesterday along the canal it felt like it was rainy, but it was sap from the willow trees dripping.

Same here,  it then settled so I had a cheeky flight to see what’s happening in the village.  Nothing was happening.  

When I landed I noticed the hinge on the battery is cracking so I’ve open a case with DJI.  It’s 11 months old so should be covered.  We will see though.      Have you checked yours lately?

You should be covered at 11 months.  Mine are OK, but I don't have a fraction of the useage you've racked up this last year.

Make sure you squeeze the tabs in when you check them,   the early signs are only visible when they are pressed.

I shall pay closer attention to mine. But they're OK so far.  I got a Calibrate Gimbal warning during my last flight today, so that's a job for first thing tomorrow morning.

I did something the other day that Ive not managed before,  I took off with the gimbal guard still attached, and because of the new design I got no warnings about it,  just the slight milkiness of the plastic.

I've done that once or twice in the past (With the Mavic Pro Platinum at the time).
But not with my two latest drones.

I hate to admit Ive done it before too,  it's just very unusual for me to forget that bit.
