Good news is that DJI sent out my replacement drone quickly. Bad news is the RC firmware download is painfully slow. Yes, I have blazing fast fiber service and a very strong wifi connection. It woudl take my computer a few seconds to download this but here I am hours later...

Any thoughts?

This is a DJI RC so using the internal software to update. Not sure there is any other way.

I've used the DJI Assistant 2 for consumer drones series to update my Mini 3 Pro, RC and batteries.  Seems faster to me than using the built in Fly App.  Latest version is 2.1.18 and link to download is below if you need it.

You're welcome.  I'm just trying to help.  There is a MAC version on that same download page.

Yes, I have downloaded it. Will need to performa restart before I can test it. Hope it works.

Got it to work, thanks! Much better than the slow progress on the RC.

Now if only you could use it to upload maps...

Hi,
Mini 3 and RC.

Is it possible to download and instal the DJI Virtual Flight App android version on the RC controller so I can practice inside when it is cold and rainy ( safer for the drone also, lol)  I'm 75 and not as fast at learning as my 7 yr old!

If that isn't possible maybe the rc-n1 would work with my Ipad mini ?


Ideas?

From what I understand the RC is not compatible with virtual flight yet. Hope they update this in the future.

My update failed the first time, then must have taken ten minutes to download and install.bit slow considering it was just

It failed the first time I tried, but did it the second time and took just over ten minutes to fully install, which was quite a long time considering the update was only fixed a few bugs.
