I was wondering if there is a way to upgrade my Phantom 2 Vision + that I purchased in August of this year. What would the cost be? What is actually different?

They have a complete kit, all the parts you will need to completely do an upgrade to the Phantom 2 v+.

x1 New Phantom 2 Upgraded 2.0 Transmitter
x4 New 2312 Motors
x4 New Version 2 Escs
x4 New 9450 Props

You need ESC's v2.0 with Firmware 4.06 on it. The dealer stock has Firmware 4.02 with bug's ...

But there is no clear information about the fixes in 4.06, and no release note. Only rumors.

It is not a faulty motor, it is ESC  failure. All I can say is that  something wrong is going on  with these news motors and old (upgraded fw only) ESC. We have sold over 100 pcs of Phantom 2 and never had any problems with ESC, right now Phantom 2 v.2 ( we have sold 20pcs) and 3 of them had the same issue you are having. When you open the Phantom shell you will see the burnt out MOSFET on the ESC board.

I think the ESC are to weak for these new powerful  motors.

if your vision plus is still flying, I would just enjoy as it is.

The cost to update it vs cost of a brand new p3 standard(499.00) makes it easy choice.

Agree with Kirk,
You could not buy the parts cheap enough for a complete upgrade as nothing other than possibly the shell and props would be compatible..., the camera and gimbal alone are likely more than what they want for a P3 Standard...
