Can I change the maximum video bit rate.

I read that the maximum bit rate for video recording on the Mavic 3 pro is 200 mbps.

How do I set the bitrate for a video clip to be lower so that I can reduce the final filesize. for example I would like to record video at 4k 30 fps 100mpbs.

Thanks

You can only do that later,   Or run it through handbrake to add some compression.

That seems like a step backwards. Controlling the the bitrate of a video recording to me would be logic. Saves save and could allow the video to be able to get closer to the end video usage. ie if the video is aimed at  YouTube. etc

Hi there. Thanks for reaching out. The video bitrate cannot be set manually. Normally, if the user decreases the video resolution and frame rate, the video bitrate will also decrease. We're sorry for the inconvenience and we appreciate your understanding.

Not a perfect fix, but I find doing a 1:1 AI upscale (Topaz Video Enhancer) removes perceptual compression artefacts generally pretty well. Helps with gradient banding in the sky, too.

@ setdonut - Thanks. Of the course the perfect fix would be for DJI to allow adjustable bitrate

I don't understand while I can buy a $200 camera from my local store that allows at least 3 levels of bitrate adjustment while my Mavic 3 Pro can't change the bitrate at all.

Decreasing the video resolution and frame rate should not be an acceptable option because DJI chooses not to implement bitrate adjustment of video recordings.

Ultimately, what is your problem?
Is your SD card not big enough?
Can't your SD card handle the bitstream...?
It's much better to record in high quality and decide later how to edit the videos...
I really don't understand your demands!!!

At some point no SD card is big enough and before you ask I can afford to buy more sd cards.

Fail to see how this is relevant to anyone other than someone that is trying to inflame the post. (inflame means to create trouble)

Your view. Narrow minded but your view.
I really don't understand your demands!!!
I dont consider it a demand rather an opinion that would help to improve DJIs product.
Which may help allow the use of a bitrate that may more closely align with the end users usage.
