Can anyone recommend a good landing gear? I purchased a third party skid landing gear but I can't get it to install at all. Seems as though the fitment is far too tight for the placement. I have tge Startrc Foldable Extanted Heightened gear for Mini 3 but it does not want to fit properly. I would really like a landing gear. Any help would be appreciated.

There is a difference between the Mini3 and the Mini 3 Pro. you posted in the Mini 3 Pro forum but the picture shows the landing skid for the Mini 3 (not Pro model). I suggest you purchased for the wrong model Mini.

Just be aware - ANY THING you add to the drone will pur it over weight.

I'm thinking you're right. I do have a Mini 3 Pro and the box says Mini 3. I guess I didn't think there was a difference between the two Drone Bodies.

Thank you as well. Gotcha, I also have the 360 Propeller Guards. So maybe I'm adding too much weight.

So, what do you guys use for landing gear? Or do you use landing gear at all?

You can get the one for the Mini 3 Pro from the same company on Amazon. I used to use them on my Mini and Mini 2, but never purchased one for the Mini 3 Pro as it is much easier to hand launch and catch. If I do need protection from the ground, I use a landing pad. They provide a LOT more protection from dirt and sand.

Having a landing pad makes a lot of since. It's been in the back of my mind, but I just haven't purchased one yet. I will, however, since you never know where you'll need it. Thank you KLRSKIR.

What for? - I either let it start/land from the ground. If that is not possible, I will start it from my hand and take it back in my hand whilst landing.

No problem at all, so I do not have to spend money for additional useless gadgets.

No landing gear used here. I either bring a landing pad (a piece of cardboard) or air launch/land.

I now have the correct landing gear. It was my fault for ordering the wrong one. I logged in a fair amount of airtime today and love the landing gear. I know some of you prefer not to have LG but I feel computable with it.
