I believe that the Mavic log flies are encypted. Just wondering why this is.

Hi there. Thanks for reaching out. You are right. These are encrypted by DJI and cannot be decrypted and exported by users. As for the reason, we'll need to confirm it with our team first. By the way, can you confirm what DJI drone you're using? Thank you.

ME262, which drone and logs are you referring to?
The .txt flight logs from the screen device of virtually every DJI drone can be read. In order to be decrypted some need to be uploaded to the likes of
https://www.phantomhelp.com/logviewer/upload/
or Airdata
but others can be read or processed on a Windows computer via the likes of CsvView ( CcsvView might be meant to also work on a Mac but I haven't had any luck with it )
https://datfile.net/CsvView/downloads.html
or one of the TXTlogToCSVtool tools
https://phantompilots.com/thread ... sv-converter.70428/

Some of the screen device .DAT flight logs can be processed by CsvView and or the associated DatCon.
Unfortunately the DATs from the drone is probably un-crackable.

DJI rely on the flight log files to determine if an episode is a malfunction or the result of operator error. Therefore they encrypt the files so you cannot tamper with them.

Good point, maybe I misunderstood the question.

Thanks for the replies.

Fair enough. With DJI's genous Refresh Package I can see why they would need to stop log files from being tampered with.

@Sean-bumble-bee. Thanks for the links. I will check them out.

The files I have looked at
In the Drones SD Card.
Path: DCIM\*.LRF  - Encrypted
Path: DCIM\*.SRT - Clear Text = Camera settings, GPS Location, Altitude etc.

From the Controller

Path: DJI RC\Internal shared storage DJI  - DJIFlightRecord_2023-05-25_[09-07-27].txt - Encrypted

Path: DJI RC\Internal shared storage\MCDatFlightRecords  - 2023-05-25_09-39-44_FLY045.DAT - Encrypted
