They are,  but they are also captive.

The rules didn't exclude captive birds.

I should note that for next time then.

Skywombat came up with an interesting Trig marker, so I suggested he might like to choose the next challenge ( so long as it wasn't a Kangaroo)  but he hasn't responded yet.
Failing that, what about a well, as in my post of the other day?

Happy for you to choose something.      But if its a well should there be a min depth ?

And should it be just water, or would oil wells count too?

If they can find an oil well then good luck to them.

I think we'll restrict it to water wells

Hello everyone,
The recording of wildlife with drones is regulated, at least in Spain, which is where I live. Deliberately causing a nuisance is prohibited. Especially, the breeding season is the most sensitive to possible conditions. Let's put conservation before obtaining (undoubtedly) beautiful images.
All the best

You're right about being careful. That's why I was quite a bit away (the picture is a zoomed-in crop) and using a very quiet drone.
I highly doubt that the stork cared - it never even looked at the drone.

Don't worry, a new one is coming up soon, as I won the previous one (a well) and have been honored to select the next challenge topic. And, of course, nothing stops you from posting you own pictures to the previous ones

Very nice photos there

Not sure how much of those are around the area I'm living in, I know there are some here in Finland but not exactly sure where... And I think the announcer of the challenge should put an example picture on his first post... But I'll bear that in mind if I happen to see one when I have the Pocket 2 with me and haven't announced some other challenge before that

For UK/Scotish fliers that got lucky, what about Golden Eagles or Sea Eagles BUT for goodness sake, our's  and their's don't disturb them. I encountered a fairly tolerant Buzzard once and after it had perhaps given me a warning, (I brought the drone back asap at that point) I then caught the talons with a long lens on a camera, chuffing heck those things could hurt.
I might have even seen a Golden Eagle once near Torr Head in Co. Antrim, if it wasn't a Golden Eagle it was one heck of a big Buzzard.

Yeah, you wanna stay well away, for both sakes. I thought I didn't disturb them as I saw no reaction at all and zoomed in in post.

It would've counted had not someone already published a few shots. I guess I have to add to the instruction.
Nice shots anyway.

Here is that post I saw I wanted to reply too

This Osprey has been here since the spring and is now on her 2nd Brood
Highly Protected here and can get into a lot of trouble for filming here, but the
city guys know me and they let me take a quick peek as long as I send them some footage!
I didn't get any footage of her first brood, but wow so amazing.
Can't wait until her eaglets are hatched
