After some testing and feedback here because of the quality of my footage i just checked the bitrate for 25fps video on 50fps footage and got confused. As far as i know the M3pro is able to record up to 200Mbit/s but when is it using it? Only in 5.1k h.264 it is reaching 200Mbit, here some data i see about bitrates in my footage
All are using CBR Setting and h.265, Numbers are rounded to full numbers.
24mm Lens
5.1k - 25p - 141 Mbit
5.1k - 50p - 162 Mbit
70mm Lens
4k - 25p - 100 Mbit
4k - 50p - 120 Mbit
166mm Lens
4k - 25p - 100 Mbit
4k - 50p - 120 Mbit
All are using CBR Setting and h.264, Numbers are rounded to full numbers.
24mm Lens
5.1k - 25p - 181 Mbit
5.1k - 50p - 200 Mbit
70mm Lens
4k - 25p - 130 Mbit
4k - 50p - 160 Mbit
166mm Lens
4k - 25p - 130 Mbit
4k - 50p - 160 Mbit
So why is it only reaching 200Mbit in h264 5.1k 50p? Why not using this higher bitrate for 4k 50p h265 then we have double the bitrate then on 25p and much better quality. Or why not in general go up to 200Mbit? To save space on the SD-Card? Then please give us an option to control the bitrate better then using CBR/VBR Settings. I want to set maybe a min/max bitrate in VBR or a Bitrate in CBR that should be used.
For me using for example 70mm in 4k 50p h265 means i loose quality because the overall bitrate just goes to 120Mbit (20 Mbit mor then in 25p), so i get less data overall.
Please add more control to bitrates and also make higher bitrates available on zoom cameras.
