Thanks Bleriot53 - it was a nice hike. I was lucky enough to have spotted one of the mountains more dangerous inhabitants in the grass before I got to close to it or stepped on it

Oh crikey. Nothing so hazardous in the UK.  We just have one venomous snake - the adder - which is quite small and rarely seen.
