Concerning DJI Goggles V2

I find the notion of equipping the goggles with a cable and battery inconvenient if i am not in the field.  I should absolutely be able to somehow plug my goggles into a wall socket while using the simulator on my ipad or computer.  I found a product that claimed to be a dji wall charger for goggles v2, but it is out of stock.

I saw someone say if you have the right barrel connector, volts/amps and polarity you can power the goggles with an old router or printer power supply.  But DJI said 'thats not supported'.  I dont understand how someone can claim to make it work if its not possible.

I need some more intel on this matter.
