I had a DJI Action 2 and lost it, so am looking to replace with an Action 3. One thing I liked about the Action 2 was that i could just mount/attach it to anything metal.
Is the Action 3 the same, where I can just place it on anything metal and it will mount with only the camera?

it is possible  without cage, but Ulanzi GP -16 is the better option
example:

refrigerator door

the side magnet in the cage is not strong enough

Ulanzi maget door OA16 is ok

camera module action2 weighs 56 g, the Osmo action 3 weighs 145 g, that makes a difference

For fast movements, use either a suction cup mount or a larger magnet
or use a clamp
