The DJI Fly app displays the percentage of battery and to the right it displays the estimated remaining flight time. When I power on the drone and it's connected to the controller, the app is showing the percentage of battery, but it doesn't show the remaining time until I'm in the air. Is this normal? Shouldn't it display that info immediately?

It's completely normal.
The remaining time, is the remaining time at your current speed and depends on how hard you are flying.
You see that if you speed up or slow down.
When the drone hasn't done any flying, there's nothing for the drone to base the calculation on.

Therefore, this threshold is calculated by the main control during flight. When it is not in flight, it remembers the former threshold.
