Using 4k Cine selection with auto settings.

Bright white areas are getting compltely blown out. I'm assuming I could lower EV or use ND filters? What does everyone suggest?

I generally have to shoot fast as a journlaist, so taking a lot of time to adjust settings for each situation is a factor.

Thanks in advance.

ND filters will not help at all. A graduated ND will darken the upper part of your image, but it is useless for video.
The reason for blown out areas is usually a lack of dynamic range, it mainly occurs in scenes with high contrast (bright sunny days).
You could lower your EV (underexpose), but you risk that darker areas like shadows becomes too dark.
The best option is to record video in D-LOG, it will maximise your dynamic range (like a RAW file in stills photography.) Then you have more control over your contrast and colours in post processing.

Back off the exposure to about -1. This will also enhance colors.

Remember you have a drone with Limited Range RGB and not Full range RGB.
This is killing a part of DR, as in 8 bit is making all shadows from 0 to 16 = 0 (pure black) and all highlights from 235 to 255 = 255 (pure white).
Practically you will have a lot of fried shadows and highlights because of this.
In DLOG is the same, but being more editable in colors you will save some aspects...but still, limited RGB.

DJI adopted this strange L-RGB from last drones probably in order to save money despite Quality offered, as the sensors are capable but SONY asks for each customization to pay a fee (you want sensors configured for 4K 60fps? no problem, you pay, you want same sensor with 5K 60fps? same thing, you pay)....
This is how Sony sensors work....they are capable of much more, but DJI need to spend a couple bucks more, thing that seems that is not willing to.
In other corner is Autel that paid to Sony and that IMX 383 even now is killing any other new sensor with great capabilities....not to mention the real optical glass, when DJI adopted a poor plastic lens full with problems....
It is what it is...

A bit overexposed in the very bright areas (clouds), but in the dark area it is still possible to set a little less exposure...
