A nice start to the day at the Castle.....

Everything here is getting very green now,  and the weeds are all doing exceptionally well.

Magnificent shot of the castle.    All that rain really did green up everything.

I've discovered over the years that weeds require little to no water and seem to be able to grow almost anywhere, including cracks in sidewalks.

The weeds defy logic dont they.    Some years ago I had a job that required me to visit a building site and watch over the construction of a new build facility,  I had designed two of the building that formed part of the campus and I also got the job to make sure that they built to my spec.     Later I ended up snagging a lot more than just my two bits.   

Anyway,  they had portaloos for the builders and in the summer a line of tomato plants grew up where they must have leaked,   the tomatoes did very well whereas nothing else grew.

Thanks Mr B the light started off so nice that day and went down hill ever since,    it was even raining when I headed out at 5:30am this morning.

Fingers crossed,    the rain here was only light and has now stopped,   of course it had to rain as I have a pile of wood to sort out.   It will soon dry out in the wind though.

Makes me shudder.

Thinking back to a courts-martial I was representing the government (prosecutor) and the sailor was found guilty of sabotage.  He didn't want the ship to go on deployment so he put some wrenches in the reduction gear.  Caused hundreds of thousands of dollars in repair and delayed the deployment by 4 weeks.  This meant the ship on station waiting to be relieved had to stay on deployment an extra 4 weeks.  For me it was an easy case to win.  He was awarded a Bad Conduct Discharge and 60 days in the brig.  Years later he got a job delivering, servicing and picking up portaloos.  He was cleaning a portaloo and it accidentally got turned over when bumped by a truck backing up.  The door to the portaloo was facing down so he was delayed in getting out.  Kind of reminded me of him delaying his ship.  Security snapped a picture of him for the investigative file and boy was he a s..... mess.

Fortunately, I was not at the scene but the security policeman told me it was an almost unbearable smell.  He said the guy wanted to ride in his patrol car to a place to get a shower.  He said no.  Ge in the back of the other patrolman's truck and we'll take you over to the security building and hose you down.  Shortly after they hosed him down they escorted him off the base.  His company was not aware that he was permanently banned from any military installation so they had to dispatch a driver to come get their service truck.  I'm think he got terminated shortly after as this company had almost all their contracts on the base.
