Lovely shot. You'd think they'd all be out bobbing about on the briny, wouldn't you, on such a lovely day.

Not used to the sun so probably all out flying their drones.

Would make a great day for both sailing and flying a drone, for sure.

I have been checking at the weather reports a lot lately, to see when would be a good day to go to a bike trip with the Pocket 2 and my other, action-centric, camera. I did film one of my bike trips recently, but wasn't sure if I could upload it to YouTube as there were other participants as well. This time, I thought I could make a small trip and film just for the purpose.

Lots of small boats out further up the coast,  and in my local creek I think they had some small boat races too but I missed that totally,  just saw the tents up the following day.

We expected Brightling Sea to be mobbed the other day when the sun was out but it was quite reasonable,    but I know Southend on the same day would have been mobbed.

On a sunny bank holiday the traffic seems to queue from London to southend beach,  it can cause chaos to get anywhere.

Another grey day today,  and I seem to have hurt my back so I cut the walk short at 3 miles and I must confess I didnt send out the drone as I was uninspired,   I may try and do some chores and go out later.

Ive been uop ladders cleaning windows,   then cutting some more wood,  cleaned the stove,   Then out for a cheeky flight.    I now need to rest it,  so I think I'll go and get some lamb to bbq later.

Man, it's been a while since I cooked up some lamb chops.  Now you are making me hungry.

They were greek style lamb chops, cooked over lump wood charcoal (restaurant grade) and very tasty,    Im going to head back to the butcher on Friday and buy up a few portions to freeze whilst it was so good.   And the greek salad with kalamata olives was also very tasty.

   Yeah, I hear you on that.  I once attended an entrepreneur seminar and the presenter said that 65% of the new restaurants don't make it.  He said a part of the problem is how particular diners are.  Some will order a rare steak and eat half before they complain to the waiter that it is overcooked.  The waiter brings out a new steak and then the diner eats half again and says it is to rare.  Just one of many examples he gave of diners complaining in order to try and get a free meal.  Spoilage was another reason he gave.  Anyway, his recommendation was not to invest in restaurants.  

Another interesting fact he put out was that 70% of new businesses fail within the first year due to under capitalization.  They didn't have a viable business plan and didn't factor in their wages into the equation.

They say the same here about restaurants,    I think the only people that win on that one is the property owner.

Yes, I believe you are absolutely right on that.  At least the property owner can either rent short term or lease for a longer term to the next business.
