Hi, david chow. Thank you for reaching out. To further assist you, can you please confirm the current location of the drone? Is it in Japan or another country? Thank you.

Hi, david chow. Thank you for the reply. Please try the following steps below:
1. Take the aircraft, remote controller, and mobile device (with app installed) to an open outdoor area. Power on the aircraft and remote controller and connect them to the mobile device’s app.
2. After powering on, the aircraft will automatically search for a satellite signal. When the app shows that the number of satellite signals reaches 10, continue to wait for about one minute.
3. Power off the remote controller and aircraft and then restart them. Check whether the image transmission signal can switch between 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz.
4. If switching fails, please refresh the aircraft's firmware and follow steps 1, 2, and 3 once again. Please download the DJI Assistant 2 from this link to refresh the firmware. Please keep us posted. Thank you.

Did you found any other way around besides using an apple device?

I don't have a iphone/Ipad. Thanks

This can also be usefull

I also saw some people saying that when connecting to the older controler, the frequency options appeared again.

I connected the RC-N1 and the drone with my Friends iphone.
