The next theme in  @DAFlys challenge series, after some discussion is about Wells.
Ideally, a natural source, with a man-made surround. (Maybe Oil wells could qualify too )

This is one of several natural spring wells in the village of Tissington, Derbyshire.

Great shot Mr. B.    Any idea how old that well is?

Well, Tissington Hall, which is directly behind the shot of the well, was built in 1609. And the village developed around it. So most likely in that same period.

I don't know the exact criteria for this challenge but here goes (pics from 2003/Wales/Casio QV4000):

and the inside. Unfortunately I only have this tiny picture; seem to have erased the original which admittedly is rather bad.

A great trio of images Depp. I've been to St Winifrieds several times, and I have a similar image somewhere in my archives.  Were any of those taken using DJI equipment?  

Perfect framing with the duck,  but I cant help but think its plastic.

Thanks for the information Mr. B.  I was off by a century as I was guessing in the 1700s.  That well structure is really well designed so figured it had been there for a while.

It certaily does Took a small bicycle ride today, doing running errands, and thought I could do more in the following days to see if I find a good one

Only 2,105 kms.  At the pace I walk at it would only take me 545 hours to get from my locale to the oil wells in Texas.
