Hi, not sure if I describe the problem correctly, but I'll do my best.. (DJI Air 2)
I used to be able to move the drone left and right (lateral, not turn) but lately this function has disapeared. I use Stick mode 2 and moving the right stick left or right does not do anything. Very reraly, in the begining of a flight it works sometimes and then stops. Does anybody know what causes it and most important - how to fix it.

Check "Disable Sideways Flight" setting. Make sure it is disabled.

In the Control tab under Remote controller there are only Stick Mode and Button Customization options.. unless I'm not looking in the right place.

Mobilehomer is correct in his response above, kindly please check the "Disable Sideways Flight" under General Settings > Safety > Disable Sideways Flight. Allways check your settings after an update as settings can be reset to the default.

The red arrow representing the drone orientation has disappeared from the flight screen on the phone - how can i get it back? I did go through the DJI Fly app settings, hoping to find it (like the side movement i missed) but could not, sorry.
would it be okay to continue asking questions in this thread or should i start a new one for a new question?

I don't understand which red arrow you're talking about.

If it is the compass then there is a button in the bottom left corner to switch between map and compass.

I don't believe it the compass I am missing. It's the icon on the left of the image (attached).
I took this screenshot from DJI Flight SImulator. In the actual flight app it was in the center of the battery life
indicating the direction the front of the drone was facing. It was easy to deturmine if it heading away or towards me.
I hope I am explaining this right.

here is the screen of the phone with DJI Fly app and a square picture of what I remember being there before. The "H" was in the middle of the circle and the red arrow was showing where the dron was facing while in the air. Or maybe it's just my dream... I haven't use my done for a while.

Hello, Grigate. Sorry for the late response. You can tap on the map at the lower left side of your screen, below the takeoff button for you to see the direction the drone is facing. It should show a blue arrow representing the drone.
