Its all about the lifeboats today......

Captured this lifeboat seemingly doing a search around the moorings this mornng,   initially I thought they had come for Alan,  but that will have to wait for another day.

The reference to Alan seemed rather obscure, but does this shot reveal the clue. I've seen that orange craft before on the TV.  It's designed to be unsinkable, isn't it. Is that Alan?

I'm intrigued by the orange boat in this shot.  I've seen only a few like that and they were used in the Gulf of Mexico to run crews to and from the off shore oil rigs.  They use large helicopters to transports crews when the rigs are too far out for those boats or when the seas are too rough.

When I looked them up they are used to escape oil rigs in an emergency and yes they say they are unsinkable,   after watching the one yesterday try to manoeuvre they also seem un sailable.

I like that: unsailable.    I bet they bob around like a cork out in the ocean, especially if the waves are of any size.

I was really convinced it was going in on the Monday tide,    so I got there an hour and a bit before high tide which was my usual time as I really didnt want to miss it.   Video coming later.

Well, today started off with pouring rain once again.  Seems like a weather front is just hovering over the Southeastern US states.  Going to take the dive tanks over and fill them and hopefully make some bubbles this afternoon.

Another bad forecast day by the weather guessers at your locale.  Here, they are spot on.  They predicted 100% showers and so far they are spot on.
