Just curious if attaching one to the usb gps thingies would work for the Remote ID on the Goggles 2?
Something like:

(maybe not that one specifically. but something similair)


Has anybody tried it?  Are there any reasons to think that it would or wouldn't work?

If you can make something like this, I will buy it INSTANTLY!!  I HATE connecting my phone to my goggles.  What a pain

this is not an option if you need the specific features the goggles 2 have and not the integra....

I completely understand that. We have already submitted the request for evaluation as already mentioned. I'm just giving my suggestion. Thank you for understanding.

I would also love to see a small GPS dongle for the Goggles 2.

whoever makes those can probably sell 50,000 of them to justify the cost, you think dji can sell that many if they offer them at the same price as a "USB GPS dongle costs?"  i bet dji couldn't sell more than 100.  everyone in the forum asks for things but will never buy it; dji doesn't fall for that any longer.

Has anyone actually tested one of these generic modules though?  The firmware recognizes external devices and can receive data from them, as evidenced by talking with your phone.  I'm curious if it'd be a matter of telling it to use such a driver or update their firmware with a driver for a generic gps module

I’m still here in 2024 wondering why they haven’t addressed this, or made the dji goggles 3 compatible with their 03 air units and the avata  1

In 2024 as well and I'm still hoping for some good module. Would be really nice to have.
