Is it possible to limit the size of files that are generated when recording? In other words, if I am recording and the file reaches 500 megabytes, it automatically continues recording in another file and so on until I stop recording.

Hi there. Thanks for reaching out. For the DJI Pocket 2, the video-splitting mechanism is the same as the Osmo Pocket and Osmo Action. The maximum capacity of a single file will not exceed 4GB. We will further confirm your inquiry with our team. We'll keep you updated.

As a first step you can use the program LOSSLESSCUT to cut your files in smaler parts without loss of quality.:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/losslesscut.mirror/
As the next step you can use a videoeditor which allows the work with proxy files. These are small copys of your 4K-files in an editor friendly videoformat. SHOTCUT for example can work with proxies. For the export of the final video the original clips are used, so there is no loss in quality.

Not sure if it is possible to do straight from the Pocket 2, but if it's okay to do it in post-processing, you could use Handbrake (https://handbrake.fr/) and Bitrate Calculator app (https://www.christianwheel.com/post/2017/01/23/bitrate-calculator) to compress/convert the file to the desired filesize. Not sure if that's what you were looking for, but hopefully this works as a go-around?

Hi there. As confirmed by our engineers, the DJI Pocket 2 currently does not have such function. We are sorry for the inconvenience. But we will have it forwarded to our team for attention. We appreciate your understanding and support.
