Remarkable captures DA.    Nice to see those rescue boats on both Pauline and Celestine.  That's pretty good speed, especially for boats that size.

Any idea what they are hauling?  Can't really get a clue from the deck configuration.

Nice pictures, and it indeed seems they have a kind of a rush on.

Speed mostly,   the M2P is a good 10mph faster than the Mini drones.

I dont know for sure,   but looking at where they are going I believe they are shipping new cars.

From the AIS data they go to and from VLISSINGEN NL,   I suspect they are bringing in new cars.

Check.
I totally agree, the mini drones are too slow.
Which is terrible for trainspotting for sure.

Ah. Rather more sea-going than a river ferry then.

Not too slow for everything,   chasing other boats in the creek the 22 is plenty,   but going out to catch these big ships I had to use sports mode to get catch them up.

I just looked up both boats and they do carry new cars for two different car manufactures.  The yellow and green on the roof is used as lanes for the cars.

Is there a one-way system in force?

For sure, not too slow for everything.
For static objects, it is ok, but for catching up with trains, not by a long stretch.
And especially if you are flying somewhere and all of a sudden you realize there is a train on the opposite side.
I have changed my tactics as good as I could, but still missed quite a few good shots that I would have gotten with the trusty old MP.

When I saw that it was a car carrier I just which boat my Dads new car had come in on and sadly it wasnt one of these,  he collected it this morning so having a pic of the boat for him would have been quite fun.

The other thing I miss in being about to look side ways by moving the gimbal.

I can confirm they are shipping cars for two separate manufactures.   I found photographic evidence.

I bet he's happy to get his new car. Seeing it arriving off the ferry would have been an additional pleasure.

That must be why they have the flat main deck so as to give plenty of head room for the deck just below.  No doubt they can carry a large volume of cars.

I don't get that one.

With the mavic 2 pro you can move the camera up and down but also left and right,  so you can fly forward with all the OA sensors on and then put your finger on the screen and slide left to see if youve passed the ship your trying to catch up with,  or you may still be next to it.

Hes happy as he's back to an automatic,   last time round he wasnt able to order that.     He changes it every 3 to 6 months so he's used to a new car.

I read about that once.
Long time ago.
But the Mini's don't have that (TMBK)

My word that's extravagant
I only ever had one automatic car. I did like it.
