Wow, what a magnificent shot DA.    I had to get past seeing all the tires before I got to the tower with the open hatch up top and an open door at the bottom.  That will be quite the climb to close that hatch.

I was told by some one who worked there in the maintenance crew that in the summer they would open the other hatch and have a dip in there.    Im not sure to believe them to this day.  Same guy also said someone cycled around the top.

Sounds like a bit of a "tall tale" to me.  However, not saying it couldn't or didn't happen.

Certainly a long climb to do. Maybe you could offer to help with your drone? Just attach a rope and a hook to it, then catch the hatch with the hook and pull it with the drone so it gets shut

Yes it is,    its a local land mark they call the onion and can be seen for many many miles away,    whats funny is that when you get close it doesn't seem that big.

Our one was at the tractor factory which used to be owned by Ford before they sold it to New Holland.

Looked at the weather and dashed out for a flight.
Back home by 07h00 and the heavens opened at 07h30.

Congrats on that Mr B,  I might be in the same boat for taking SHMBOd for the X-Ray,   sadly Id just got comfortable with the iPad when she re appeared,  in and out in under 3 minutes.    Cant really fault that.

Yes,  they changed the rules across the EU to have classes of drone based on weight and markings.
