Dji Avata freezing video problem

Since I bought the avata about 8 months ago, I keep having recording issues. I usually do several attempts to make sure I have the proper footage I need. Most of the time the first attempt is the good one and records normally, besides spliting the footage in 2, the recording looks fine.  I would fly with the first battery and then change the battery and do a second flight do get a better footage but most of the time the second footage would freeze for quite a long time and sudenly unfreezes along the way!! Making the footage unusable.
Does anyone encounter the same issue and has a fix for it ? ( besides mounting a gopro )

Thank you for the information. Can you please follow the steps below?
1. Check whether the aircraft firmware and goggles firmware are the latest. If not, update it to the latest versions first. You can upgrade or refresh the firmware by using our DJI Assistant 2 that you can download from dji.com/downloads to your computer.

2. Check whether the aircraft’s flight distance has exceeded the maximum transmission distance of the goggles (normally, the image transmission freezes when the maximum transmission distance of the remote controller or goggles is exceeded).

3. Check whether there is significant interference in the flight environment such as large metallic objects, Wi-Fi, radio, and Bluetooth frequencies. Please turn on the Image Transmission Settings to check real-time channel quality. If the interference is still significant, we recommend changing the flight environment.

4. Check whether the channel selection is set to Auto in the image transmission settings of the goggles.

5. Check whether the device is too hot.

6. Check whether the original video in the microSD card also has a freezing problem, If it is, we recommend sending the product to DJI for repair.

It seems that everything you mentioned was in order before the flight and even all calibrations were also done! Since the beginning I started using this drone, the first flight is always successful and the video does not freeze on the first attempt but the second flight after changing the battery always freezes regardless of the conditions of the environment ! I will try again but this time i will turn off everything ( remote + goggle's battery ) and change the drone  battery and see if things reset and allow the video to record normally !

Update : I tried again 2 times and I'am getting jerky footage... some parts of the video are freezing again and then footage ok toward the end. I will be sending the drone for repair because It is not reliable! I'am uploading the first footage that recorded fine and then the last one that shows jerky parts / freezings parts and then suddenly recorded ok toward the end so you can look at it if you dont mind and see all the different problems that occurred within the same environment . Thank you

Little question : I have Dji care refresh. Should I send the drone back under regular warranty ( free ? ) or use my care refresh  ( but i guess i would have to pay a fee )

Hi, Grmi22. You can use the DJI Care Refresh if you would like to replace your aircraft but yes, there would be a replacement fee. But if you're not in a hurry, you can send the drone under regular repair so we can check if it can be covered by the manufacturing warranty (if the aircraft is still within the 1-year warranty). If you want, you can DM me the drone's serial number for me to check if it's still within the 1-year warranty. I'll wait for your reply. Thank you.

I have the exactly same issue.  But when I bought my drone it recorded fine, the flight of my all three batteries. I am just past 1 year my purchase date , and video of my second battery freezes around 10 s, and keeps freezing until around  2min. After that ,  footage becomes normal.   
Did you sort your issue Grmi22?

To make a long story short, I found the root cause of my issue. Not sure if my case is the same or similar for Grmi22 case above nor other customers with freezing footage but I will share my story as it could be of some value for others.

During past weeks I tested many aspects, each one at a time, to find the cause of the freezing footage:  tried different battery order for first / second / third flights,   FCC/CE mode , camera FOV ultra wide, wide, narrow , longer resting time between 1st and 2nd battery flights to further cool the unit, Normal/Sport/Manual modes, and for all these different parameters the freezing video issue in the second flight onwards remained.  

This pointed me to suspect of the memory card. The freezing footage in the second flight looked related to presence of data already written in the micro SD card. As I always format the micro SD card before the first flight, the first flight video are always fine, but the videos of the second / third flights kept freezing. Then I remembered when I bought the Avata, I had a Sandisk V30 micro SD card which never had any issue. More recently I purchased a larger 128 GB Delkin V90 micro SD card,  and the issues started likely with this card.  I put back the V30 Sandisk card in the Avata and also tried other V30 Lexar cards and... Boom, the freezing issue disappeared. Footage are smooth as they used to be for any V30 Sandisk / Lexar cards I have (I tried 5 or 6 V30 cards from these two brands and there was no freezing anymore).

I took a while to suspect of the faster card to be the cause of the issue as these V90s are advertised to have retroactive compatibility. Then I realized my V90 card (not compatible or defective) has two lines of golden connectors whilst my V30 cards (compatible) only have one line of gold connectors....

I tried the V90 card in my Gopro 9 black and it seems to be working fine, but i need to record longer videos in the gopro to match similar file sizes in the Avata. By now I am not sure if my V90 card is defective or if it is simply not compatible with Avata.

Additional info:  Not only the recording of the MP4 video file is messed in my V90 card but the gyro file (despite tiny in size) also looks corrupted because when I open the MP4 in Gyroflow, I can see 3 flat lines for all 3 gyro axis during the time when the footage is frozen. As I fly Manual mode, I expected the gyro curves to go up and down as shown in the parts of the video where it is not frozen.

Good job on figuring out the issue with the freezing footage ! I had a feeling the whole thing had something to do with the memory card !! Since DJI sent me a replacement drone I didn't try to go further with the testing . Thanks to DJI professionalism ! I did change my memory card tho after I received the replacement and I never had this issue again ! DJI is definitely the best drone company out there
