That is the way I take off. I always accelerate up to about 8-10 feet and then stabilize. I don't have the topple issue by doing that. I try to get it up high enough to get out of the ground effect situation that happens with helis. It's never an issue here.

What is the MOD range suppose  to be if all is well?  I never looked at mine before. I had problems calibrating the compass yesterday near a dam. I moved to a few different places before I could calibrate properly. Thanks, Tele

Thanks for your pictures and clarification. My P3P does the same thing from time to time. Thought it was just me!

That almost tip over has happened to me. I thought it was me doing something wrong.

Interesting. I would assume that the Phantom is doing a reset of some type.

Watch the landing skids in the video. There is a slight tip and then he throttles down to recover it.
