The surest way to get a shot of this amenity, without interruption, is to be there with the dawn.
A cloudy day, as it happens, but I had the place to myself to launch the drone and compose the shot.
One skatepark, complete with graffiti and litter.

That amount of concrete reminds me of a WW2 defence. .  But maybe that was just the inclusion of the poppy.

It does look rather bleak doesn't it.  The inclusion of the hoops court was unavoidable, given where it's located.  There are waste bins provided all around the amenity, but I think they're seen as obbstacles to be negotiated rather than receptacles for rubbish, which was strewn everywhere.

Dust bins are a real problem,.   I have to spend ages removing them from my photos,  I wouldn't mind if they actually got used.   But they seem to forget to put instructions on them.

They tried that here, with humorous comments exhorting folk to use them. But the yobbos just tear off the plastic bin surrounds and chuck them in the river, along with their beer cans and other rubbish.

Thanks Peter. I'd been promising David a comparison with his local skatepark. First chance I've had was this morning.

Hmm. You're right.  Debt is now repaid
And I've just posted a 360 Pano from the same spot as well.

Do you also get the fastgas cylinders up there,   or has that habit not reached you yet.

Haven't seen any of those - but the N2O capsules are getting more prevalent.

CO2 ones for foaming cream etc. are OK.
The N2O one should be banned.
And if the idiots start sniffing the CO2 by mistake, that should remove the problem overnight

Great top down Mr. B.    Shame about the rubbish strewn around.

Do you know what the orange rectangular object with the two yellow triangles on it are?  I've zoomed in but just can't figure it out.

Thanks. Yes it is rather a mess. Sad reflection on the youth of today.
That orange object is a barrier. They're normally stood upright in lines as a form of crowd-control.
Moade of bright plastic these days whereas they always used to be steel.
There was a pile of them behind where i was sat. This one had evidently strayed
If you have a look at the 360 Pano again, you'll spot them.

I think I'll start viewing the forum on my 65" TV.  Much easier to pick out the details.

Maybe I should have hovered lower - but then I wouldn't have got the whole skatepark in.
Or maybe if I'd gone lower and done a 3x3 mosaic. I've just thought of that.
One more thing on the ToDo list

No need to change anything.  Your work is always top notch.  Just using my 65" TV is better than a 17" laptop monitor for sure.

I know what you mean. Our TV is only 42 inch, but it makes a big difference.
My younger daughter has a 65 inch TV and sitting watching that is like being at the cinema (Movies in Americaspeak )

I'm limited on space on my boat so it took some doing but I was able to fit the 65", but just barely.  Hard to believe that Samsung is offer 95" TVs.  Way too big for any place on my boat.  Would probably fill up a whole wall in a home ashore.

I could get a 95 inch in here if I moved Mrs.B out

Nice view of the skatepark. It truly is a shame how indifferent people can be with trash disposal. We have the same problem here in many places. I just keep on wondering why is it so "hard" to bin them properly and not throw them around everywhere else.

As for the graffiti, that depends on a case. I don't like when historically valuable buildings are smeared with vulgar text and "pictures" even a first-grader could outdo, but if there are skilfully-made pictures on urban, mundane concrete that would otherwise be dull and gray, then I would say it could even be considered art.

This reminded me of a coffee mug I got at one of my duty stations.  I can't say which but you can imagine it wasn't a routine assignment.
