This short video highlights a Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service , from Exmouth Fire Station a rescue of a person from a crane.

Very impressive demo of what these guys are capable of doing.  Love the background music.  Excellent job on this video Hieth.  

Good thing none of them are afraid of heights.  

Pretty amazing footage. Everyone's skills tested to the full.

Yeah we do get to do some wicked stuff now we also do swift water rescue as well as fight fires and cut people out of cars - we don't often end up rescuing a cat form a tree, funny you should say about not being afraid of heights I use to be before I joined the Army and Fire Brigade but not now after 30+ years of doing this

Great that you overcame fear of heights.  I do a lot of scuba diving and I'm not afraid of sharks but I do respect them.  My biggest fear is of poisonous snakes and unfortunately Florida has too many of them.  There is the eastern diamondback rattlesnake, the timber rattlesnake, the dusky pygmy rattlesnake, the coral snake, the cottonmouth, and the copperhead. The eastern diamondback rattler has the most lethal bite.  Needless to say I avoid these snakes as best I can.

Ekkk I would avoid them at all costs makes our Grass Snakes (no venom) and Adders (bit of venom) seem like toys !

Only 33C here today in my part of Florida.  However another hot day in Arizona.  12th straight day of 43.33C high temp of the day.  I think they describe it as sweltering hot.  At least here in Florida we get the breeze off of either the Atlantic Ocean or the Gulf of Mexico.

Thank you - it was a good one to make bit hard though while doing the exercise  plus I made a school boy error and did not turn on the GoPro that I attached to the helmet which would have given some close upS

As far as we are aware there isn't such a thing as it would have to carry water or a dry powered fire extinguisher and we dont have any in our fire brigade - not to say that someone wont invent one in the future
